About
A beautiful space deserves a process to match.
I'm Savana, and Savana Michelle Design is my full-service interior design studio for residential and commercial spaces. I started it around a simple belief: a beautiful result shouldn't come with a confusing process. Clients deserve to know exactly what's happening with their space, their budget, and their timeline — at every phase, not just at the reveal.
That means every product I specify is tracked from the moment it's considered through the day it's installed. It means budgets are visible in real time, not reconciled after the fact. And it means contractors and clients alike can follow a shared, phased timeline instead of wondering what's next.
Hands-On
I love getting my hands dirty.
Some of my favorite days on a project are the messy ones — scraping ceilings, cutting plywood, mixing and pouring concrete. Doing the work myself means I understand how things actually go together, what's realistic on a schedule, and where a little extra care makes the biggest difference. It makes me a better designer and a better partner to the contractors I work with.
Furniture Flips
Giving good pieces a second life.
When I'm not working on a client space, I'm usually refinishing furniture. A solid, dated piece with good bones can become the most interesting thing in a room with new paint, updated hardware, and the right styling — and it keeps well-made furniture out of the landfill. It's also a great way to bring character into a project without blowing the budget.
Family
None of this happens without them.
My family is my biggest support system. They cheer on every project, put up with the furniture taking over the garage, and more often than not, they're right there helping — whether that's a community build day or a kids' workshop with a screwdriver in hand.
My Approach
Meticulous, transparent, and grounded in how a space will actually be lived in or worked in.
